this Saturday, October 10, FSN will be airing the Los Angeles Red Bull Soapbox Race at about 6:45pm immediately after the Kings game.

it promises to be a great show and if any of you out there are fortunate enough to have tivo or dvr, could you please record it for me.

For those of you who didn't visit our pit booth the day of the races, you didn't get a chance to meet our honorary 6th team member by way of Richard Guzman, City Editor for LA Downtown News.  He dressed up as ed's counterpart - tweedle dum.

yes, ladies - that is erik estrada sitting in our 3rd car 

i think his exact words were: "wow, that's what i call a racing seat!"

and he continued by offering us each a pair of his famous estrada glasses if we found a way to mount the seat onto his CHiPs motorcycle

ok, maybe not. but he is making an "uh-oh" or "oops" face. which can mean only one thing: he farted.

of the 40+ teams that participated, 111,000 spectators in attendance, 8+ hours of extreme action...they only chose 8 photos from the Los Angeles race to make the gallery.

you guessed it! so we didn't win, but we made the gallery. that my friend is true glory. and as my not-so favorite actor, keanu reeves,  once said: "pain heals, chicks dig scars, but glory [dramatic pause] ...lasts forever."

and we were able to maneuver up the sidewalk!

after 2 runs on the slower hill we feel much better

high speed test run, a lot of braking going on

we are slowly but surely getting the hang of this, i promies

1st test drive...

i think that went well for the first high speed test drive.

...ok, not really.

when car 2 takes the curb and breaks and axle, we disconnect and mark takes car 1 down solo
